Acne Causes: Discover These 4 and You Will Eliminate Your Problem
Go ahead, admit it. Acne causes all kinds of grief, it’s an intrusion into anyone’s life. Its causes are a diverse as acne sufferers themselves. Although it is a common skin disorder, would you believe that there is no cure? On that note the goal of this article is to educate you about acne causes as well as provide solutions.
Understanding and Identifying Your Acne
Acne is caused by an overactive oil glands which trap dirt and bacteria that results in clogging up your pores. The results of these clogged up pores manifest into pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, cysts, lesions and nodules.
Although acne can appear differently there are at least four recognizable acne causes. They are:
1 – Heredity
Due to heredity one is unable to change these characteristics and will have to make challenging adjustments to adapt to their existing condition.
2 – Changes In Ones Hormones
Women can see direct changes and can regulate it successfully with birth control pills. Other methods such as avoiding foods that contain white flour or sugar can positively affect hormone levels in young adults and teenager.
3 – Positive Effects of Diet
Alter your diet by avoiding caffine, processed foods, carbonated beverages, pasta and fatty foods. This might sound strict but you can control your acne causes. Don’t forget to drink plenty of fresh water, eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Also by staying away from unprocessed foods, you can positively improve your skin.
4 – Controlling Your Stress
By controlling your stress you will be able to manage the affects of your acne. Stop letting your boss, work, relationships, time commitments or health worries cause you to build up your stress in your life. Instead, try relaxation techniques and exercise to manage your stress. There are some excellent methods such as yoga, exercise, visualization, aromatherapy and hypnotherapy which can positively reduce your stress and outbreaks of acne.
Treatments For Acne
It is best to first try these natural treatments such as maintaining a healthy diet, control and manage stress, getting plenty of bed rest, staying out of the sun and following a strict skin care plan. However if you are not getting results that clear up your acne then perhaps you’ll need to try professional help.
Seeking help from a dermatologist is the best recommendation. He or she will be able to prescribe the right medications for your condition. Depending on the treatment, antibiotics and retinoids are the most successful. Treatments such as facials, dermabrasion and laser treatments are effective for minimizing or even reducing acne.
For quick solution for your acne, Accutane is a medication that your doctor can prescribe, although it has potentially life threatening side effects. It is considered a quasi-cure for acne. Although it has great 60% success rate, it does have side effects that include severe depression and birth defects. You will need to consult your doctor to see if this is the right medication for you
Important – Acne Can Change
Acne causes can potentially change over time. For example, a treatment that might work when you are a teenager might not work as you become an adult. Therefore it is important that you continue to search for the right treatment if it no longer becomes effective and your dermatologist can help you.

Do You Make These Mistakes in Choosing Your Health Care Plan
There are a lot of details to consider when you are choosing a health care plan, whether itâs one offered through your employer or one you buy on your own. No matter what age you are, your health should be a primary concern, although young people often act as if they will live forever and sometimes postpone making health care decisions.
Here is a list of common mistakes that people make all the time when choosing a health care plan. They are in no particular order, and all are important to consider, carefully and completely. If you are not conversant with all the terminology or are finding it difficult to make the decisions, you should ask for help from a neutral third-party such as family member or friend. Donât ask a health insurance company unless you want to hear a sales pitch!
Common mistakes
- You donât check out your doctor, or any others â Although some healthcare plans require you to use a physician in their own network, other plans are more inviting. If you already have a physician, and are buying your own insurance, check with the doctor to see what plans he is a member of. If you do have to choose a new doctor, you should look into the health plan doctorsâ credentials by contacting the AMA.
- You forget âlocation, location, locationâ â The location of your doctor or clinic, and the travel time required, are other factors you should consider when considering health care plans. Find out where the doctor is located and also look into the regular and emergency hours of the facility.
- You donât consider specialists â If you already need specialist care, or think you may need to in the future, you need to know the health care planâs procedures on using them. Some plans require you to contact a primary care physician, while others allow you to make specialist appointments directly.
- You donât consider your own specialist â You should definitely find out if your current specialist is in the health care plan you are considering. If not, perhaps your specialist can refer you to one who is.
- You forget to check the policy on âpre-existing conditionsâ â Even though this should be a âno-brainer,â people forget to ask about the policies on pre-existing conditions. Coverage for pre-existing conditions varies widely among health plans. Some exclude them entirely, and will not even consider coverage, while others cover them fully. Many health care plans fall somewhere in the middle, offering coverage after a certain amount of time, or for a certain amount of time or expense. Rules promulgated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act guarantees you coverage for your pre-existing conditions if you join a new group plan offered by your employer after being insured the previous year. Do your research to make sure you know what your policy covers.
Less common oversights
- You donât ask about physicals and health screenings â Again, it seems an obvious thing to ask, but if you appreciate getting regular physicals and health screenings you should ensure that they are covered. Most âmanaged careâ plans do cover these types of procedures, usually on an annual basis, but there are some plans that do not cover them. If you have children, make sure to ask if âwell babyâ check-ups, physicals and immunizations are covered.
- You forget about additional services â Everything, from prescription drug coverage to mental health care, is an important consideration. You need to consider which of the various additional services that you may need are, in fact, covered when you are comparing health care plans. Other examples of these additional services that may be important to you are drug and alcohol counseling and treatment, home health care, nursing home or extended care, hospices, experimental treatments, alternative and complementary medicine, chiropractic care and physical therapy.
Bottom line considerations
- You donât price things out correctly â Once you know what you want in your health care plan you need to compare costs, and you need to do it right, which means covering all the bases. You will need to know exactly what deductibles must be paid first before the health care plan coverage starts paying, and donât forget to ask if the deductible needs to be met before certain services can be utilized. Find out about âout of networkâ charges if you anticipate having to go beyond your plan facilities or physicians. Finally, there are co-payment, cap amounts and total-care limits you need to know about. Some plans have lifetime limits, some have lifetime and annual limits, and others have mixed formulas for making this determination. Get all the facts.
- You donât check the exclusions â If you donât read the exclusions list, you will not know what is not covered. You need to see if any condition you currently have, or that you expect to contract in the future, is included. This is an important bottom-line consideration since, if you donât get this settled and dealt with up front, you will likely spend a great deal of money down the line to treat excluded conditions.
It is a difficult thing to look at your health in a dispassionate, dollar-oriented way, but thatâs life. As we age, more of our energy goes into thinking and planning against death and disability, but the subject need not be morbid or depressing. Do your best to get a health care plan that covers what your particular needs are, and remind yourself that you are worth the trouble â and the expense.
Stop Acne Forever With These Acne Killer Secrets
Do you suffer from acne? Is acne depriving you of your confidence?Acne can cause tremendous physical and emotional pain. It makes us look ugly!
I desperately tried various over the counter acne products and dermatologist prescribed acne cure treatments with limited success. Why? Because these topical creams & antibiotic treatments do not treat the ROOT cause of Acne problem! As a result, ugly acne kept coming back.
I have discovered that to effectively treat acne, you have to treat the root of the problem. Acne is not only a skin problem, but an internal problem as well.
So now, I will share with you 3 acne killer secrets that I have learned that have given me clear, healthy, and radiant skin.
The Causes of Acne
Your acne is caused when pores in your skin get clogged by dead skin cells and excessive sebum content. Sebum is an oily substance produced by the sebaceous gland.
The clogged pore is the perfect environment for the acne bacteria. This bacteria in the plugged follicle leads to inflammation of the skin. This leads to pimples or acnes. Acne can be either mild, moderate or severe. For severe cases of acne, you should go visit a doctor.
Thus, the contributors of acne are clogging of the pores by oil and dead skin cells and the presence of bacteria. To effectively fight acne, one must address it from both the outside of the body and inside of the body.
Acne Killer Secret #1 – Preventing acne by taking care of your skin
The basic things you can do to prevent acne is to follow basic hygiene and skin care regimen. Your basic skin care regimen should include cleansing of the skin, applying an alcohol-free toner, and finish with a moisturizer + sunscreen. Toning your skin restores skin pH back to it’s normal range and it closes the pores to your skin to prevent dust and the air borne particles from settling in your pores.
You should clean your skin with a gentle cleanser at least twice a day to remove your skin from oil, dead skin cells, dry skin – substances that can clog the pores. It is imperative for the pores of your skin to remain bacteria free. The presence of bacteria is something which contributes substantially to the growth of pimples. If you have overall cleanliness of the skin, you can lessen the chance of pimples.
Look for cleansing products that contain salicylic acid. Salicylic Acid is a naturally occurring organic acid and a gentle, effective exfoliator. It is very effective for acne and oily skin and helps to unclog pores by removing dead skin cells, loosen and remove blackheads and whiteheads, and prevent future outbreaks. Products should contain 1-2% concentration of salicylic acid in order for it to be effective. For sensitive skin types, a 1% concentration would be suitable and for stubborn acne, 2% concentration is recommended.
Note that Salicylic Acid also makes skin sensitive to the sun. Sunscreen should therefore be used while applying Salicylic Acid. Sunscreen also guard your skin from harmful rays of the sun and helps slow down aging of the skin. If you have oily skin, you should use an oil-free sunscreen product.
Acne Killer Secret #2- Fighting Acne from the inside
The main cause of acne is the concentration of toxins inside the body. The body expels toxins through excretion, sweating, or through the skin. If the body is not efficient in expelling the toxins through excretion or through sweating, some of the toxins go out through the skin. This causes inflammation of the skin and increases the bacteria level on the surface of the skin, leading to acne problem.
To effectively fight acne and achieve radiant, youthful, and healthy skin, one must take good care of the body by practicing the following healthy habits:
(1)Reduce Stress – Stress causes the body’s level of cortisol (stress hormone) to go up. This leads to increase of your blood sugar and produces more oil on the skin, which can lead to skin aging and acne prone skin. Stress can be controlled by getting adequate sleep and rest and doing meditation and practicing deep breathing. Deep breathing also helps to remove the toxins in the body.
(2)Get on an exercise program – Exercise reduces stress and helps improve blood circulation to the skin, making the skin more healthy and radiant. Also, the sweating from exercise also removes the toxins in the body.
(3)Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables each day – colorful fruits and vegetables, garlic, and onions are essential for clear, healthy skin. The more colors, the more they contain antioxidants and vitamins that help to nourish the skin. Carrots, tomatoes, romaine lettuces, spinachs, cantaloupes, berries, beets, cabbages, broccolis, and kales are excellent sources.
“Water intake also plays a big role in keeping your skin healthy and beautiful. It helps to keep the skin hydrated and get rids of toxins in the body. It is recommended to take at least 8-10 glasses of water a day.
(4)Consume these healthy fats – Omega-3 fatty acids and Omega-6 fatty acids are essential fats that the body cannot produce. They must be consumed through diet. These essential fats are responsible for reducing skin inflammation and improving blood circulation, giving you a clear, glowing skin and helping you to prevent premature aging. Food that are rich in these healthy fats include salmon, sardines, mackerels, nuts (walnuts, almonds), seeds (pumpkins, sunflower), and flaxseed and olive oil., especially wild salmon. You can also take fish oil supplements.
Acne Killer Secrets #3 – Use an acne treatment system that fights acne from inside and outside the body
By following the above steps, it goes a long way in preventing and controlling your acne problems. However, for some of us unfortunate acne victims, our acne problems are more serious. Therefore, tougher measures must be taken. In addition to following the above recommendations, it is recommended to use an acne curing system that fights acne bacteria both from inside the body as well as outside the body. Most over the counter acne products in the market such as Clearsil, Oxy-10, ProActiv only address acne problems at the skin level and that is not enough to effectively fight acne.

My Anti Aging Skin Care Review – Save Money With These 3 Tips
In my anti aging skin care review of dozens of products, I’ve discovered three crucial things that separate an effective anti aging skin care system from those that don’t measure up.
It’s taken me over a decade to acquire this knowledge. Like you, I’d been noticing the unmistakable signs of my advancing age: an ever-increasing number of wrinkles, skin sagging around my neck (and other places), cellulite on my legs (yuck), bags under my eyes that seem to keep getting heavier. I could go on, but I don’t think I need to–we all deal with these things.
I drank lots of water, followed a healthy diet, and tried to exercise regularly, but while those steps helped, they didn’t seem to be enough. I didn’t want to go the cosmetic surgery route. I knew there had to be good anti aging skin care products available that would really help to rejuvenate my skin.
I finally found them. And in the process, here’s what I learned from my anti aging skin care review.
1) A good anti aging skin care system does not use fragrances.
Most fragrances are actually chemicals. If you have sensitive skin, like I do, a lot of these fragrances can irritate your skin.
I also learned that many common fragrances can even impact your central nervous system, influencing your moods–and not in a good way. Who would have thought that merely putting on a cream that smells good can actually make you irritable because of the questionable ingredients it contains?
In my anti aging skin care review research, I found a few skin care products that are 100% fragrance-free. I’ve been using them ever since.
2) An anti aging skin care system should be clinically proven to work.
Popular skin care brands usually try to convince us of the efficacy of their products by having glamorous Hollywood actresses claim Product X is responsible for their ageless beauty. But how about less hype, and more scientifically verifiable evidence?
My research led me to an anti aging product that has been clinically proven to increase skin elasticity by 42% over an 18 day period. Greater skin elasticity equals fewer wrinkles, and smoother, more youthful looking skin.
Look for skin care products backed up by facts–not Hollywood hype.
3) An anti aging skin care system should use a high concentration of active ingredients.
While conducting my anti aging skin care review, I found that many of the well-known cosmetic brands that I’d been using for years contained only scant amounts of active ingredients.
These active ingredients are important–the more included in a skin care product, the greater its potency. But a lot of skin care treatments use mostly synthetic waxes and fillers, substances that have no impact whatsoever in rejuvenating your skin.
I recommend using only products that have an active ingredients composition of at least 50%. Admittedly, that’s a high percentage, but such anti aging skin care systems do exist.
Your next step? Start using the lessons I learned during my anti aging skin care review, and visit my web site to find out more about the natural skin care methods I personally use, and highly recommend.
Looking To Naturally Treat Your Acne? Look At These Tips!
Sometimes it’s difficult to remember that acne is a common condition that almost everyone has to deal with at some point in their life. Teenagers and young adults have a particular struggle with acne, as hormones and stress are especially common during those ages, which produces acne breakouts. So, are you currently dealing with acne? If so, you may have tried several popular (and expensive!) store-bought treatments, but you might find that you can get great results from natural acne treatments. This article is going to talk about some effective all-natural remedies you can try.
Of course, acne always pops up at the worst times, although we’re not so sure there ever is a good time to have acne! But for those last-minute, emergency treatments, there are a few things you can try without having to run to the store and shell out for an expensive name-brand product.
The first all natural acne treatment is found in almost every bathroom, but the thought of putting toothpaste on your face could seem a bit…odd. That’s right—toothpaste! Put a generous amount of toothpaste on each pimple right before bed. The toothpaste will help dry up the excess oil and greatly reduce redness while you sleep. Of course you can put toothpaste on your acne in the day time, just make sure you’re able to leave it on for a while so that it has plenty of time to soak up the excess moisture from the pimple. A good tip for those red pimples is to apply a bit of Visine eye drops. It won’t treat the pimple, but it will get rid of the redness.
Did you know that Neosporin could help you? Neosporin is an antibiotic that will kill the bacteria in the area you apply it to. Before bedtime, you should apply it to the acne in order to cause it to have a short life span. Honey is something that has natural antibacterial properties in it and it is perfect to use in the homemade acne treatment. In the end, some of the other types of homemade acne remedies you could use consists of baking soda, garlic, ice cubes, crushed aspirin (our favorite to use), potatoes and much more.
Do You Know These Anti-aging Treatment Options?
Everyone in the world wants to look young. Unfortunately, we cannot stop the aging process. Once you cross your 3′s you will start to feel that there is no hope to be beautiful anyomore. Or is it?
Actually, there are many ways in which you can feel younger and look more beautiful. You have to take care of youself, both from the inside and the outside. Most men and women don’t realize that there are many simple anti ageing treatments that they can use in order to avoid or slow down aging .
There are 2 main types of anti ageing:
1. Natural : This type of aging is hereditary and depends on the genes & hence it is quite difficult to prevent.
2. Un-natural : This is caused by the extrinsic factors like exposure to sun, over drinking, bad eating habits etc.
While comparing both the types of aging, you can come to a conclusion that you can prevent the second type of ageing.
Here are some tips for the prevention of un-natural aging :
1) You should maintain a diet that is low in sugar and fat.
2) You need to consume lots of water, ie 5- 8 glasses of water daily.
3) You should exercise regularly. This will help you look younger.
In addition, you may consider the following anti-aging treatment products:-
1. Anti ageing treatment (Creams) :
People whose skin is always exposed to the sun are at more risk since the sun’s rays can cause wrinkles on the face. Thus, wrinkle creams have become one of the major anti aging treatment products today. Scores of anti ageing wrinkle creams have entered the anti-aging market. But it doesn’t mean that all these creams are good. The introduction of many “herbal and ayurvedic creams” has made it difficult for the women to decide on which product is right for them. So choose carefully.
2. Anti ageing treatment
Genetic Treatment)
The most dynamic aspect of the genetic research is to create genetic treatments for anti ageing. Geneticists say that, human beings have 30,000 active genes. As we grow older, these genes become inactive which ultimately results in ageing looks. With respect to the researchers, anti ageing treatment with animals are likely to continue in next few years, before tests with human begin. Thus, this Anti ageing treatment will be a boon for the coming generation.
3. Anti ageing treatment (Copper peptide treatment):
One of the anti aging treatments that are boomingtoday is the copper peptide treatment. Copper is normally found in trace quantities in our cells. When this is converted into copper peptide results in the skin regeneration . Since copper is an anti oxidant, it damages free radicals leaving a better skin.
4. Anti ageing treatment through vitamin tablets:
We need anti ageing vitamins to suppress the free radicals. They are the protective force against free radicals. Let us explore some important anti ageing vitamins :-
i) Vitamin C – It lowers the blood pressure . It fights cold and flu. It is also a very good anti aging treatment agent.
ii) Vitamin E – It is a good supplement of anti oxidants. It helps to maintain healthy cells and acts as a good skin and hair repair agent.
iii)Vitamin A – It is a very good anti oxidant that neutralizes the free radicals in the body which causes tissue and cellular damage. It also has retinol which helps to keep the skin and eyes moist.
Apart from using vitamins as an anti ageing treatment, it is always better to go with proper eating habits too.
5) HGH or human growth hormone is another product that you can opt for to fight aging. This is the latest in the field of anti aging treatment and its effects have been proven in many cases too. HGH supplements, for instance, can induce your body to produce more natural HGH, thus resulting in you looking and feeling years younger.
As you can see, there are many anti aging treatments and they all play a vital role in human life. Science is trying to find new remedies today and skin care treatment is on the frontiers of scientific research. Thus there is hope yet for you to look fabulously young again.
Fad Diets Why Are They Bad – Ten Hoaxes Spotted In These Diets
Fad diets why are they bad? Fad diets seem to offer “quick weight losses” in diminutive amounts of time; however, the consequences from these fad diets are anything but attractive. Sure they might appeal to the typical dieter by attacking weight loss with complicated health jargons or even provide phony testimonials. You should avoid fad diets. Why are they bad; let me go further in detail about the reasons why they should be avoided, and common hoaxes they utilize to hook you?
If something sounds too good to be true, than more likely it’s just a hoax. Fad diets, why are they bad? Here are ten widespread hoaxes that fad diets often present.
Hoax 1- Skipping Meals
Skipping meals actually helps you lose weight. Actually, this is one of the most counterproductive things you can put your body through. I would recommend that you never fall into the habit of skipping meals. This slows down your metabolism and prohibits you from losing weight. It is recommended that you eat five small meals a day in order to achieve optimum weight loss. Many of these fad diets don’t allow you to eat a well balanced diet and merely cause your body to crash in order to lose weight.
Hoax 2- Nighttime Metabolism
Your metabolism slows down in the nighttime. Actually, this is a misunderstanding; people often believe that you eat more calories in the evening, which is true in many cases. The result that is drawn from this hoax is that while you sleep your body’s metabolism slows down and fat is built, overnight. The truth is that your body’s metabolism does not change it’s really a matter of your caloric consumption that determines how much fat is built up. There is no need to spend your time worrying about metabolic changes overnight because they’re a hoax.
Hoax 3- Carbohydrates Scare
Another common problem is that carbohydrates are thought to equal weight. Carbohydrates will enable you to gain substantial amounts of weight. Actually carbohydrates are your body’s most significant source of energy. The Adkins diet is a prime example of this carbohydrates scare. There are good carbs and bad carbs which many fad diets seem to attack, religiously. The truth is that if you do not have the required amount of carbohydrates you body will become irritable and wrestles.
Hoax 4- Lack of Nutrients
Fad diets are bad in a variety of ways. Depriving your body of your favorite foods isn’t the most productive way to lose weight. Eating should be enjoyable, if your diet prohibits enjoyment it’s a “fad diet”. Fad diets take a profound toll on your body that you will forfeit later in your lifetime. They deprive your body of significant nutrients that your body requires in order to function correctly and go forth living a vigorous lifestyle. Mixing vegetables and drinking cranberry juice or tea for five days is not a balanced approach to dieting.
Hoax 5- Fats, Fats, Fats
Fad diets, why are they bad? The misconception of low-fat labels on the bottle gives you no right to consume a bulky amount of these foods. The truth is most of those so called low-fat products are jam-packed full of sugar which is a substitute for the lack of fat that they don’t contain. As a result, they are just highly saturated in calories and the sugar turns into fat. This does not result in adequate weight loss, and often proves to be counterproductive to shedding unwanted weight.
Hoax 6- Snacks
Lots of popular fad diets prevent snacks. Snacks can actually be incorporated in a healthy dieting plan. However, if you consume 5 meals daily your body won’t require additional snacks. The truth is that they so are called “bad snacks” and they will prevent you from overeating and causing you to become motivated throughout your day.
Hoax 7- Good Fat, Bad Fats
Another hoax that fad diets pose is that fats are the devil. At a glance this seems to make sense, but actually fats are required for part of your body’s natural functions. However, bad fats increase your risk of heart complications; there are “essential fatty acids” that expatiates your body’s efficiency of burning fat. The underlines truth is that you need to identify which fats are essentially bad and good for you. Every day millions of people rush to the store to purchase omega-3 and omega-6 to get their recommend daily consumption of fatty acids. Fats can aid you in losing weight.
Hoax 8- Cholesterol
The cholesterol debate is much like the fats debate, a common misconception. Saturated fats are in meats, cheeses, cream, butter which help raise LDL (low density lipoprotein) “bad cholesterol.” However, HDL (high density lipoprotein) is good cholesterol that transfers cholesterol away from your arteries and back to your liver. Many people do not know the difference between good and bad forms of cholesterol. This is why so many fad diets appear to weight loss prone seekers. I would steer clear of this group or minimize your daily intake.
Hoax 9- Dairy Products
Another common fad dieting hoax is that dairy products will ultimately causes you gain lots of unwanted weight. Merged with a daily calorie intake, a dairy-rich diet can double body-fat reduction and aid weight loss in the long run. Dairy products have a lot of vitamins and minerals that your body essentially needs to live a healthy lifestyle. Dairy products contain the hormone calcitrol, which promotes healthy bones and relays a message to fat cells to transfer less sugar to fat and burns more fat.
Hoax 10- Crash Dieting
Short crash dieting are an ineffective way to lose weight. Your body is not geared to simply crash and this has been proven to be highly counterproductive. The myth is that you will lose weight pain free, but in reality you will hate dieting and find yourself irritable and troubled. Nearly all of the fad diets people often feel irritable and lifeless as a result to the strict guidelines. Crash diets deplete your body of essential nutrients and vitamins and your lose water weight as a result. Simply, depleting your body for seven days is not a healthy approach to dieting.
Starving yourself to lose weight is not enjoyable and takes the fun out of eating. Eating should be enjoyable not stressful. I would advise against falling into these popular trends; they don’t work and can do a substantial amount of physical and emotional harm to your body. They all seem to attack weight loss in a different way. They are much to harmful to your body.
